For accounting firms whose clients use morning

Every client business, in one ledger.

Pinkas pulls your clients' invoices and expenses from morning, shows what's missing before each VAT return, and prepares the period's figures.

The Pinkas practice board: a table of 24 businesses with VAT cycle, days to deadline, missing allocation numbers, expenses to approve and the state of each business.
The practice board: every business, its filing dates and open issues, in one table. Sample data
  • Built on morning's API
  • Seven years of documents
  • Servers in the EU
  • An encrypted backup every hour

Product

  1. Filing dates

One board for every business, on the Tax Authority's dates, holidays and weekends included.

  2. VAT pack

Sales, inputs and the balance due, calculated from the documents themselves.

  3. Checks

Missing allocation numbers, duplicate supplier invoices, input VAT older than six months.

How it works

  1. 1

    Connect the business

The business owner creates an API key in morning and you paste it into Pinkas. It takes a minute.

  2. 2

    Pinkas pulls the data

Invoices, receipts, expenses, clients and suppliers, seven years back. A new document arrives within minutes.

  3. 3

    Work from the board

See what's urgent, close a period, and download the VAT pack.

The documents table pulled from morning: number, type, date, client and amount.

Before you file, not after

Every period goes through checks before it closes. A blocking check stops the close until someone deals with it.

  1. Invoices over the threshold without an allocation number, only where the business needs one
  2. Input VAT claimed more than six months after the invoice date
  3. A supplier invoice recorded twice
  4. A supplier with no tax ID
  5. Documents that didn't arrive from morning, or arrived partly

Pinkas calculates the figures. Filing with the Tax Authority stays with you.

Who it's for

  1. Firms whose clients issue documents in morning, on the Best plan or above.

  2. Accountants and bookkeepers who handle dozens of businesses and want to see all of them at once.

  3. Licensed dealers and companies. Exempt dealers appear on the board with their annual declaration.

For developers and AI assistants

Everything in Pinkas is also available in code, with the same permissions.

  • API

REST with an OpenAPI description. Each user gets their own API key, with permissions per business.

  • Command line

pinkas-cli returns the same data as JSON, for scripts and exports.

  • MCP

Connects to Claude, Cursor and VS Code. Anything that writes data needs explicit confirmation.

Security

Servers are in the EU.

  • Encrypted keys

Your clients' API keys are stored encrypted. The key that decrypts them is kept elsewhere.

  • Firms kept apart

The database itself stops one firm from seeing another firm's data.

  • Audit log

Every sign-in, connection and action goes into a log that can't be edited afterwards.

  • Hourly backups

An encrypted backup every hour, off the server. A full restore has been tested for real.

What we're building
